Acupuncture has numerous benefits, including pain relief, stress reduction, improved sleep, increased energy, and enhanced immune system function. It can also help with digestive disorders, menstrual issues, and fertility.
During an acupuncture session, you will lie down on a comfortable table while the acupuncturist inserts thin, sterile needles into specific points on your body. You may feel a slight prick or tingling sensation, but acupuncture should not be painful. After the needles are inserted, you will rest for 20-30 minutes while the needles do their work.
Acupuncture is not the only medium used at this clinic. Depending on your needs, we may use light therapies, tui na (physical therapies), cupping or moxibustion (a form of heat therapy) . You may also be prescribed a herbal formula.
If you are covered for acupuncture/herbal medicine, an invoice can be generated at your appointment for you to claim online and recieve your private health rebate!

Acupuncture and dry needling are distinct practices with critical differences. Acupuncture requires a minimum of four years of rigorous study to master its use of specific acupoints that stimulate physiological and cellular responses to give effective and long-lasting relief. This method is supported by extensive scientific evidence demonstrating its efficacy for various conditions.
In contrast, dry needling is a non-specific technique typically learned in a brief weekend course. It lacks the comprehensive theoretical foundation and scientific backing of acupuncture. Moreover, dry needling's effectiveness remains unproven, with limited research to support its claims compared to the well-documented benefits of acupuncture.
